Calvin heads the firm's Corporate M&A practice. He is a corporate transactions specialist with deep experience in cross-border M&A, joint ventures, corporate restructuring and general corporate and regulatory matters.
He is well regarded for his legal knowledge, commercial acumen and negotiation skills — trusted by private equity funds, venture capitalists, family offices, multinationals, and public and private companies across Asia.
Before founding Cal, El & Partners, Calvin served as Legal Counsel at Navis Capital Partners — one of Asia's largest private equity firms — where he structured and negotiated strategic acquisitions and disposals across Southeast Asia, and provided ongoing legal support to portfolio companies. Prior to that, he practised at Christopher & Lee Ong, focusing on corporate transactions, M&A and financial regulatory matters.

Eldarius Yong is a founding Partner of Cal, El & Partners and leads the firm's Civil Litigation practice. A seasoned litigator, Eldarius combines sharp analytical thinking with persuasive advocacy to deliver outstanding results for clients navigating complex disputes.
His practice spans the full range of civil and commercial litigation — from high-value contract disputes and shareholders' conflicts to urgent injunctive relief, winding-up proceedings and appellate advocacy. He represents corporate clients, high net worth individuals and institutional parties before the courts of Malaysia, as well as in arbitration and mediation proceedings.
